NEW JERSEY CLINICAL STAFF
Patricia is a Nurse Anesthetist who developed and interest in the field of addiction after experiencing its devastating effects on her own family.  Having multiple 1st degree relatives suffer from addiction sparked her desire to learn about the scientific rationale of genetic predisposition, and in turn, alternative ways to treat it.

Since receiving her graduate degree from Columbia University and completing her clinical residency in Anesthesia at UMDNJ, Patricia has remained on staff as an Adjunct Faculty member at UMDNJ for the past ten years.  She has also served as a didactic instructor in the UMDNJ graduate program of nurse anesthesia.  She is a member of the AANA, NJSNA, and Sigma Theta Tau International.

Director of Clinical Services

Betty has been a dedicated RN for the past 16 years.  Her unsurpassed clinical skills have been cultivated by working in the Trauma Intensive Care Unit of a Level 1 Trauma center for the majority of that time.  She has also worked in the recovery room briefly, and spent several years working as the Clinical Nurse for the Spine Division of a major teaching hospital here in NJ.

Betty recently left the hospital setting in search of an environment that fosters psychological and emotional recovery.  These desires, along with her impressive clinical competencies make her an invaluable asset to Canterbury Institute.
